Competences and learning results:

The Summer Schools follow the research-based format which was developed during the past ten years, and which combines marine research activities, teamwork, transferable
skills training, and outreach and communication. Students from different specializations learn to work together in multidisciplinary teams.

Contents:

Integration in a research team to plan and conduct a research projects.

Variable theme according to the selected topic

Methodology and work plan:

  • Data analysis
  • Report
  • Presentation
  • Documentary movie & blog

Exceptionally, if health conditions so require, non-classroom teaching activities may be included. In this case, students will be informed of the changes made.

Assessment of students learning:

The evaluation committee will evaluate 4 aspects for each of the projects:

  • Originality

Exceptionally, if health conditions require it, non-attendance evaluation methods may be included. In this case, students will be informed of the changes made.

Differentiated evaluation: in those cases with the right to duly formulated differentiated evaluation and that entail the impossibility of participating in face-to-face activities, the personal situation of each student will be taken into account and the evaluation of participation in face-to-face sessions may be totally or partially substituted by alternative non-face-to-face tasks.

Resources, bibliography and documentation:
